In my devotional today, I came across this quote from Pastor Brian Houston. I think as a young professional we are always searching for what our “Calling” in life is. I’m pretty sure like me you may ask yourself, “What is my mission in life”, “What is my purpose”. Because we may not get an immediate answer, if any at all, it is very easy to live life in a form of waiting paralyses. Meaning, that you are waiting for something to happen or a shooting star to show itself, or a “SIGN”.

Here is your sign…

The point I am trying to make is that your signs are everywhere. Your everyday life is your mission field. Take your everyday and ordinary life and place it before God as it says in Romans 12:1,2. It is time to step-up and recognizes that your everyday encounters with people that make up your life mission. You are not going to get a “Mountain PEAK” experience every moment of your life. But, then again I ask you this question, “Is it that the moment was not a mountain peak experience or that you did not perceive it as on”.

As you lay down your life to Him, who gives life, you will find that a life lived in abundance is all around you. I have no doubt that in Him is a life filled with awe and amazement, of adventure, thrill. Your eyes will be opened to a new world, and you will start to see that you mission field is right in front of you, right where you are and the people you are around.
